On this page
When an organization Admin invites you to CaterCow, you get an email with the subject line “You have been invited to join organization on CaterCow!” Its Claim Invitation button is your invite link.
Join from your invite
1. Click Claim Invitation in your invite email. The page that opens shows the name of the organization you’re joining.
2. Already have a CaterCow account? Under Have a CaterCow Account Already?, click Log In and sign in with your email and password. The invite works the same way.
3. New to CaterCow? Sign up on this page. Your name is already filled in from the invite, and Organization Name is set to the organization you’re joining. Enter your (Work) Email and Create a Password. A Mobile Phone Number is optional.
4. Click Sign Up. You’re now a member of the organization, at the role your Admin picked, and you start on its orders page. We don’t create a separate organization for you.
If you were invited as Staff
Staff invites open in our meal app instead of the page above. It shows Join organization On CaterCow:
- New to CaterCow? Fill in the form and click Sign Up & Join.
- Already have an account? Click I Already Have An Account, then Log In & Join.
- Already logged in? Click Join Now.
If your organization uses company single sign-on, you see one Log In With SSO button instead of the form.
You then land on your organization’s meals, where you choose what you’ll eat. See How do I choose my meal?
Sign-in methods and invite problems
- Already logged in? You join with the account you’re using. We don’t create a second one.
- Signing in with Google? Your invite carries through, from the sign-up form or from Log In.
- Does your company use single sign-on, like Okta or Microsoft Entra? Start from the sign-up form on your invite page. Enter your work email, then click Log in with SSO, and you land in the organization you were invited to. If you start from Log In instead, your invite doesn’t carry through. Sign in, then open your invite link again.
- Signing in with Microsoft? The Sign in with Microsoft button on the Log In page doesn’t carry your invite. Sign in, then open your invite link again.
- Didn’t end up in the organization? Log in, then open your invite link again.
- Each invite is for one person. Once someone accepts it, the link can’t add anyone else. If you already accepted it, opening it again while logged in takes you to your organization.
- “No invitation found”? The invite may have been withdrawn. Ask an Admin in your organization to send you a new one. Only Admins can send invites.
To see what each role can do, read What permissions/roles can I give teammates?
Joining without a personal invite
Some organizations also share a meal calendar link that anyone can use to join as Staff. Opening it lets you sign up or log in and join the organization’s meal calendar.
A few things can stop that link from working for you:
- The organization only accepts invited people. If an Admin has turned on the Invite Security Setting, new people need an email invite from an Admin.
- Your email doesn’t match the company’s domain. Some organizations only let people with a company email address join through the link. An Admin can still invite you by email.
- You already have an invite as an Orderer or Admin. You’ll be asked to use your email invite instead, so you get the right role.
