It's been a long, long time since the famous Subway Footlong sub was the $5 Footlong.
Prices have crept up considerably since its famous promotion years ago. Subway Footlong subs were once one of the best deals on sandwiches in the country, but is that still the case today? CaterCow dived deep into the data to reveal Subway Footlong prices across the nation and by sandwich.
Across the nation, you'll pay between $10.99 and $15.99 for a Basic Footlong.
The cheapest Subway Footlongs can be found in Texas, Illinois, and Georgia. For example, a Spicy Italian Footlong sandwich in Atlanta would run you $8.89, while the very same Spicy Italian Footlong sandwich in Chicago could cost you $9.99 and the sandwich in Austin ranges up to $11.49.
Manhattan is by far the most expensive footlong in the country with a Basic footlong reaching up to $18. Though, if you order on CaterCow, you can find an NYC Subway Footlong for as cheap as $9.79 (Vegan or Veggie Delite) up to $14.19 for the Oven-Roasted Turkey.
When ordering from Subway, consider ordering from a location which is as far outside an urban metro or tourist area as possible. Because Subway Footlongs travel well and hold up in a catering or delivery setting, it may be worth an extra 10 minute drive to save a few dollars per sandwich.

The most expensive Subway Footlong is The "Beast" which has five types of meats, double cheese, and all the fixins. With a half pound of meat on every footlong, it's not surprise it is the most expensive
